Video games have been a part of many people's lives for a long time. Certain video games like Tetris and Minecraft have millions of devoted players.
CLASSIC VIDEO GAMES - Classic is defined as “An outstanding example of a particular style; something of lasting worth or with a timeless quality; of the first or highest quality, class, or rank – something that exemplifies its class”.
Pac Man - Nothing says classic more like the hit game Pac Man which was made on May 22nd, 1980. Pac Man is the 12th best selling video game behind another classic, Tetris. There are a whopping 256 levels with a perfect game giving you a score of 3,333,360. The first person to ever achieve a perfect game was Billy Mitchell of Florida, completed this astounding task in 1999, 19 years after its release. Billy Mitchell did face controversy for cheating to win his record and even though Twin Galaxies found inconclusive evidence that he cheated he was stripped of his record and his GWR.

Tetris - While on the subject of classics, Tetris, the puzzle/tile matching game has been one of the biggest hits in gaming since it was first released in the USSR in 1984. Tetris is available on around 65 platforms, making it the most ported video game as confirmed by Guinness world record. With a 4.2/5 on Google Play, Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov had created a fun, popular game played and loved by millions of people.
Mario Kart Wii - Mario Kart Wii is a kart racing game created in 2008 by Nintendo. Mario Kart has been very successful and sold 300,000 copies on the day of its release. As of March 31st 2021 that game had sold 37.38 million copies worldwide making it the 14th most sold video game ever, behind Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Mario first appeared in Donkey Kong in 1981 and was 2d and pixelated.
Roblox - Roblox is a fun, multiplayer game. People can customize their avatar and play millions of different games. For avatar customization, there is a catalog where you can buy different items. These items go from absolutely free to up to the most expensive catalog item which is Violet Valkyrie for 50,000 Robux or $625. This is barely scratching the surface of how expensive roblox items can be. The most expensive Roblox item is not actually one item but multiple items. These items are: Flag, Voidwrath, Fancy St. Patricks Fedora, Ninjabart122’s Roblox Tablet, Ultra Commando, Neon Green Crazy Clown, Chronoterminus: The Epocholypse Helm and Batty Owl, all going for 999,999,999 robux. These items are limiteds.
A limited is an item that, after it has been on the catalog for a while, is taken off manually by roblox, and people who own the item can sell the item to other users. Limiteds can rise and fall in price and they can also be projected. A projected is a limited is bought for an intentionally high price, so it is a higher price than it is normally sold at. Projected’s will usually fall down fast leaving anyone who bought the items for the high price losing hundreds or thousands of robux.
Almost all of the games on roblox are made by people, using roblox studio, anyone can make almost anything (as long as it is kid-friendly) The same can be said for roblox catalog items or UGC. which stands for user generated content. The most popular game as of now is Adopt me!, which has an astounding 27.39 billion visits! Adopt me is a pet simulator game where people can hatch pets, buy houses and much more. The second most played is Tower of Hell which has amassed 16.69 billion visits. Tower of Hell is a randomly generated obby with no checkpoints.
